New Magazine Archive and Search Now Live
Kinbaku Today has launched a new archive page for historic Japanese SM magazines.
The archive brings together issue summaries, highlights, tables of contents, and direct links to articles and features inside each scanned magazine. You can now browse by issue, explore individual contributors, or search across article titles and author names to find material buried deep in the archive.
This makes it much easier to trace the work of figures such as Itō Seiu, Kita Reiko, Nureki Chimuo, and Sugiura Norio, while also uncovering lesser-known writers, illustrators, correspondence columns, and serialized features.
The archive is still growing, with more issues and corrected tables of contents being added regularly. It is designed as both a research tool and a doorway into the strange, inventive, and often overlooked print culture that helped shape modern kinbaku and Japanese SM.
