Summary
The January 1963 New Year issue of Kitan Club combines extensive bondage photography and fetish illustration with historical research, serialized fiction, speculative stories, personal testimony, humor, cultural commentary, and a large reader-correspondence section. Its opening visual material establishes a recurring contrast between domestic Japanese interiors and theatrical scenes of domination. The first gravure presents cloth gagging, torso and limb binding, floor restraint, trampling, riding poses, and kneeling rope positions. A gallery of illustrations follows, depicting suspended punishment, female ritual suicide, nocturnal coercion, corporal punishment, forced medical procedures, improvised stocks, and gymnasium bondage. A second gravure expands the visual vocabulary through compact rope arrangements, chain restraints, foot domination, and staged submission.
