Summary
The October 1962 issue of Kitan Club combines extensive bondage photography, fetish illustration, autobiographical confession, speculative and historical fiction, essays on sexual psychology, equipment and clothing fetishes, reader testimony, and community-oriented back matter. The issue opens with a large visual section whose photographs move between outdoor suspension, tree restraint, domestic floor poses, cloth gags, torso harnesses, compact kneeling ties, bathroom confinement, and close studies of rope patterns. These are followed by an illustrated portfolio ranging from leather fetishism and confinement devices to circus discipline, samurai-era violence, female domination, human-animal role play, and wrestling. A second photographic sequence, “Beautiful Restraint,” emphasizes intimate bedroom staging, mirrors, patterned rope, exposed torsos, and expressive changes in posture.

Highlights
- The opening photographic feature presents outdoor suspension, tree restraint, torso harnesses, compact floor bondage, cloth gags, and bathroom confinement in a varied sequence of staged settings. (PDF pp. 9–16).
- An illustrated portfolio explores leather fetishism, confinement devices, circus discipline, ritual violence, female domination, human-horse play, and women’s wrestling. (PDF pp. 17–24).
- “Beautiful Restraint” uses mirrors, patterned rope, bedroom posing, and close views of knots and body compression to create a more intimate second gravure sequence. (PDF pp. 25–32).
- “The Germination of Inversion” is an extended autobiographical account connecting childhood trauma, theatrical training, family relationships, gender presentation, and sexual identity. (PDF pp. 34–41).
- “Desire to Become a Slave” presents a detailed servant fantasy organized around uniforms, commands, punishment, bathing, domestic labor, and ritual obedience to a mistress. (PDF pp. 42–46).
- The long novel “Somewhere in the Universe” develops a speculative society structured by enslavement, coercion, captivity, and theatricalized domination. (PDF pp. 50–61).
- The issue devotes several short features to specialized fetishes, including riding breeches, diapers, rubber, mirrors, women’s wrestling, flannel undergarments, and toilets. (PDF pp. 62–85, 147–161).
- “Female Slave Story” is a major serialized-style narrative framed as a woman’s account of captivity and servitude in an imagined world. (PDF pp. 86–109).
- The eighteenth night of “Thirty-Nine Nights” continues the magazine’s recurring mixture of historical fantasy, confession, punishment, and illustrated narrative. (PDF pp. 122–133).
- Reader correspondence, rankings, questionnaires, notices, classified exchanges, editorial pages, and advertisements form a substantial community-oriented closing section. (PDF pp. 177–192).
