Hiromi Saotome’s New Photo Book
I write a regular column titled “Dear Editor, This is Nureki Chimuo, Bondage Specialist” for every issue of “SM Net,” a magazine published by Sunny Publishing.
In the seventeenth installment, I wrote an article titled “I’m Going to Create a True Bondage Photo Book!”
Immediately after reading it, I received a reply via fax from Sachi Yamanouchi.
It was a deeply appreciated response, filled with such sincere passion that it truly moved me. I was convinced that my feelings had been fully conveyed to Photographer Yamanouchi.
I felt glad that I had created “Tomoshibi-za.”
Moved by this, I immediately wrote another letter to photographer Yamanouchi, expressing my honest feelings at that moment and the following statement of resolve.
Sachi-san.
Thank you for sending me a letter that has put me in the best possible mood and motivated me. I really appreciate it.
That’s right.
Just as you said, that piece of writing of mine was indeed the first declaration of intent marking the launch of “Tomoshibi-za.”
You wrote that you thought choosing me for the first installment was very fitting and that I was grateful for it, which gave me even more momentum.
I will now write down my mindset for the photo shoot of the new bondage photo book featuring Hiromi Saotome, jotting down my thoughts as they come to me, in no particular order.
Please read it.
As we all discussed before, let’s borrow that room at Sachi’s house for the shoot.
If we use a rental studio or something like that, the superficial lies will stand out, and we simply can’t take good bondage photos anymore.
Just being in a studio weakens the creator’s sense of tension, and no matter how good the bondage is, it gets tainted by the atmosphere of a “job” that has already become routine.
Sachi’s room is, without flattery, wonderful. Even the color of the air exudes a sense of realism.
It’s also nice to see that abnormally fat cat strolling around at people’s feet without a hint of fear.
I’ve heard that another photographer has already used that house several times for other photo shoots.
Sachi-san mentioned that she’ll have to be careful not to end up with the same photos and background as those previous shoots, which could create a similar vibe, but please rest assured.
I, no, Hiromi Saotome and I, will create a uniquely rich atmosphere in that room that no other photographer could achieve.
I’ll create such a dramatic transformation that you, waking up in that room, (Huh? Where am I?) will be genuinely surprised.
And once you step into that room and sit in front of that pillar, Saotome will change completely, too.
If the mood of Hiromi herself, the subject, changes, the mood of Hiromi captured by the lens will naturally change as well. A Hiromi you’ve never seen before will stir mysteriously within the lens.
Sachi-san, all you have to do is capture that fleeting moment of transformation without missing it.
No, let’s stop with all this pretentious, abstract talk about “capturing change.”
Saotome’s transformation is her eroticism. It is Hiromi Saotome’s unique masochistic eroticism, something no other model can convey.
Capturing that is our greatest mission for this shoot.
I’ve been tying Saotome up on set for quite some time now. I’ve worked with her on countless occasions, magazines, videos, movies, and have crossed paths with her on sets all over the place.
But back then, for me, and for Saotome, it was ultimately just a job to make money.
No matter how convincingly I acted, it was ultimately just a job to earn a living.
People who aren’t enthusiasts themselves create and sell products aimed at enthusiasts for profit, and both Saotome and I have been used for and served that purpose. Of course, since we’re being paid, I’m grateful for that, and I certainly have no right to complain.
But I feel that, before we knew it, and Saotome too, we had somehow worn ourselves down without even realizing it.
Speaking for ourselves, both those who tied and those who are tied had developed a sort of inertia. It was enough just to go through the motions of tying, or being tied…
That is precisely why, for this photo book, I am focusing my mind and giving it my all…
No, writing it like this might worry Saotome.
She might worry that this shoot is going to turn out terribly rough…
She might even worry that we’re going to start something like a “Cruel Torture Endurance Contest.”
That won’t happen, that won’t happen, Saotome.
There’s no way I’d do something so tasteless.
For this photo book, I intend to return to the sensibility of my Uramado days and fill it with nothing but deeply lyrical, emotionally charged bondage photos.
Oh?
The text I was supposed to be writing for photographer Sachi has, before I knew it, started feeling like I’m addressing Hiromi Saotome.
My apologies. Sorry.
There’s a reason for this.
Actually, while I was writing this Talking Theater, a letter from Hiromi Saotome arrived via Fax, reading “I read your manuscript on SM Net.”
Since the letter expressed such heartfelt emotions, I paused my writing and couldn’t help but read it.
“...Over the past few years, I’ve noticed that my stamina and muscle strength have started to decline…”
That heartbreaking confession struck a chord deep within me.
And so, before I knew it, my heart had turned toward Saotome.
So, from here on out, this will become a personal request from me to photographer Sachi, Hiromi Saotome, and one more person, Nakahara Rutsu, the producer of this shoot, in other words, to all my comrades at “Tomoshibi-za.”
As always, please forgive any disjointedness in the flow of this text.
Hiromi, rest assured. A woman’s true charm lies in what lies ahead.
From the moment you begin to worry that your stamina and muscle strength are waning, the eroticism of a woman’s body, especially the eroticism of a woman who enjoys being bound with rope, ripens all the more mysteriously, gaining a lustrous glow.
You say it’s too painful to tie yourself up and hang upside down from the ceiling anymore, but that sort of thing isn’t SM. It’s nothing more than acrobatics completely unrelated to bondage.
Ever since Saotome started performing that sort of thing on stage, I’ve been telling her to her face, “What’s so fun about doing something like that?” and I’ve kept saying that.
Of course, Saotome herself understands why I keep badmouthing her. She can’t say it out loud because she’s not in a position to speak plainly, but ultimately, it’s just that she has to do it for the money.
Saotome. Rest assured.
There won’t be any suspension in the upcoming “Tomoshibi-za” photo book. Of course, there won’t be any upside-down suspension either.
I absolutely won’t do anything like a “Cruel Torture Endurance Contest.” Saotome should have known long ago that I detest that sort of thing.
The reason I don’t do that sort of thing is because there is no eroticism in it.
No, I suppose there are people who only feel eroticism in that sort of thing. But for bondage enthusiasts like us, it’s a type of thing we simply cannot accept.
Well, at the beginning of this piece, I warned you that I’d be writing about this shoot in no particular order, just as the thoughts came to me, and that’s exactly how it turned out. My Talking Theater never seems to stay on track.
Since this particular tangent looks like it’s going to be a long, winding one, I’ll take a break here for now.
