The script for the video “Hostage” I wrote the other day has been well received, and I was especially grateful to hear “it’s interesting” from Yamanouchi Sachi-san, who is handling the overall production and direction, and from Nakahara Rutsu-san, who originally conceived the project.

As I mentioned briefly before, my plan for this shoot was the same as always. I, the “bondage specialist” accustomed to tying up women, would tie up a model who is used to being tied up, perform some sort of “torment’ and untie her, and that would be it.

However, even someone as dim-witted as me knows that such footage has long since become formulaic, facile, and something everyone is thoroughly fed up with.

I know that, but for the performer, shooting footage like this, where everything is so familiar and predictable, is actually the easiest.

But then, “No one’s going to watch footage made the easy way these days. We can’t be lazy. Didn’t the first installment of the ‘Too Cute to Handle’ series get such great reviews? Let’s do that second one. Let’s all work hard together and create another interesting bondage piece.”

It was Nakahara-san who encouraged me with those words.

Even as I continued to hesitate, Nakahara-san urged and encouraged me again and again.

I agreed, and wrote “Hostage.”

Furthermore, both Yamanouchi-san and Nakahara-san expressed a level of “motivation” for cooperating on the filming of “Hostage” that exceeded my expectations.

The vision I had outlined in the script was immediately conveyed to both of them.

I gained great confidence and courage.

I’m a natural show-off by nature (after all, I was born and raised in Asakusa), so no matter how enthusiastic I am, if the people around me don’t react much and remain calm, I immediately lose my “drive.”

(Yamanouchi-san and Nakahara-san, who were right there watching my behavior when I recently defected from that “Bariana-Furi-Something-or-Other” group and accepted the commission for the “Standing Illustration: Gozonji Suzugamori” from the History Museum, surely understand my true nature as a show-off all too well. Ah, how embarrassing!)

If someone shares my feelings, shows passion in the same direction as me, and vows to cooperate, I instantly burst into flames, burning with a fierce, rousing passion. That is my nature.

I was deeply moved that Nakahara-san immediately used a computer to neatly print and beautifully bind my handwritten script.

She produced enough copies to go to every single staff member and performer in the blink of an eye.

It is a truly beautiful and splendid script, printed and bound with care to be easy to use on set.

I immediately mailed those scripts to Sawato Fuyuki and Kasumi Shion.

Both are trusted friends I’ve known for a long time.

“Seeing” them, in other words, means “binding” them.

Both are women who show “genuine reactions” that cannot be seen in conventional “bondage videos.”

These are not reactions meant for others to see, but intense, unfeigned reactions coming from the depths of their hearts and the very core of their bodies.

I’ll say it again, Shion and Fuyuki, “reactions meant for others to see” are unnecessary. I absolutely do not want you to give “reactions meant for others to see” during this shoot.

However, this request of mine is in essence futile.

Anyone seeing these two women’s reactions to being bound by me for the first time will undoubtedly be stunned by their authenticity.

I can already picture the reactions of these two women eight days from now.

But on the day of the shoot, with a particularly solemn heart, I will say this to them: “Let’s give it our all, not for anyone else to see, but for ourselves. For ourselves, I’ll do it too. For myself.”

Ah, I can already see the sparkle in their eyes at that moment.

I will cast aside the Nureki Chimuo I used to be and become a bad man who “loves her so much it makes him hate her a hundred times more.”

I will cast aside the “bondage specialist” who proudly manipulates ropes with deft hands and become a “vicious, obsessive man.”

In the beautiful script Nakahara Rutsu-san wrote for me, I’ve already made plenty of notes to transform myself into that “bad man.”

I’ve written things in the script like, “Instead of clear dialogue meant to be heard by third parties, stick strictly to the way a man with ‘a hundredfold hatred born of excessive affection’ speaks, darkly, gloomily, muttering, fidgeting, and mumbling.”

It was actually Nakahara Rutsu who proposed turning this series into the “Too Cute to Handle” series.

“Too cute to handle, a hundred times more hateful.”

Surprisingly, it is precisely in this short phrase that lies the unshakable essence of bondage drama, or so-called SM drama.

A facet of the truth behind bondage acts is encapsulated here with exquisite nuance.

We must make the sentiment of “too much cuteness” the core of the drama.

Huh?

You’re asking where exactly that meaning lies in this phrase?

I hope you’ll understand without my having to explain it.

Those who don’t understand, well, they’re the ones who aren’t qualified to watch this “Hostage” footage.

They’re the ones who’ll just find it boring, even if they do watch it.
