Summary
The June 1961 issue of Uramado combines illustrated erotic fiction, historical fantasy, documentary-style essays, reader contributions, photography, and magazine-community material within a strongly sadomasochistic editorial framework. The opening material is unusually visual: a grotesque torture tableau by Ishizuka Yoshiyuki is followed by a series of erotic and bondage illustrations, including the editorially assembled Yōen Seme-e Competition Selection and a photographic sequence titled Mountain Stream. These opening inserts establish the issue’s recurring visual vocabulary of rope restraint, captivity, punishment, voyeurism, and theatricalized suffering.

Highlights
- The opening illustrated material includes Ishizuka Yoshiyuki's grotesque Enma Hall tableau and an extended editorial selection of erotic punishment and bondage art. (PDF pp. 6–16).
- Mountain Stream is an outdoor bondage photographic portfolio staged against rocks and woodland, using suspension and standing restraint as its principal visual motifs. (PDF pp. 18–21).
- Tale of an Old Chivalrous Rogue is a substantial Edo-period narrative illustrated with scenes of restraint, violence, and itinerant underworld life. (PDF pp. 23–32).
- The Black Female Prisoner of the Bastille transforms the Bastille and the French Revolution into an extended erotic prison narrative, with detailed black-and-white illustrations by Nakagawa Ayako. (PDF pp. 41–50).
- Tales of Meiji Women Factory Workers presents female industrial labor, coercion, punishment, and sexual vulnerability through a historical-social narrative rather than purely fantastic settings. (PDF pp. 78–85).
- The photographic features Warehouse Interior and Floor Stand use indoor environments, rope, lamps, walls, and staged isolation to create a distinctly modern photographic counterpart to the issue's illustrated bondage fiction. (PDF pp. 103–112).
- Temptation into Masochism explicitly treats ordinary behavior and desire through a masochistic interpretive framework, representing the issue's more discursive and quasi-psychological strand. (PDF pp. 124–130).
- The later editorial and reader-oriented sections include film coverage, leisure writing, information columns, correspondence-like material, and discussion of erotic or sadomasochistic cultural subjects. (PDF pp. 141–172).
- Pleasure-Torture Garden 6: Rope, Love, and Dreams forms a long late-issue feature combining prose with erotic illustrations before the magazine closes with photographic and retrospective visual portfolios. (PDF pp. 173–188).
- The closing visual sequence juxtaposes the Pleasure-Torture Photo Collection with a retrospective selection of illustrations from previous Uramado issues, emphasizing the magazine's awareness of its own visual history. (PDF pp. 189–196).
